"A Gathering of Knights"--Grade One/Two

"This show is based on a medieval tournament
where knights gather from across the kingdom
to compete for honor and glory.  "Knights of
the Realm" is an exciting opener that establishes
the main theme.  There are some softer flowing
sections that contrast with the big brass
fanfares.  "Ladies of the Court" is a lovely
ballad that features an optional flute solo.  Next,
we hear a bold brass fanfare announcing "The
Tournament Begins" followed by a percussion
feature with a Celtic melody played by the
keyboards.  The show concludes with the
crowning of "The King's Champion".  This
show is less difficult and would be great for
young bands
