"La Tormenta: The Storm"--Grade One-Two
*La Tormenta (The Storm* is based on the
concept of a developing thunderstorm and its
aftermath. This show starts quietly with dawn
breaking on *A Beautiful Day*. This theme is
bright with a slight western feel. This is followed
in a minor key. This movement has a slight
Spanish feel (to tie in with the Spanish title) and
ends softly*the calm before the storm. Suddenly,
there is *Thunder and Lightning*, a barnburner
section featuring some dark melodies and
dissonant chords, woodwind trills and a short
percussion break. Finally, the storm passes and
we hear *Aftermath and Rainbow* as the skies
open with some bold fanfares. There is a brief
reprise of the *A Beautiful Day* theme and some
big chords. There is an optional *Quiet* ending
where we hear a reprise of the dawn theme, now
at sunset.

"The Legend of the Headless Horseman"--
Grade One/Two
Here is a very dark and mysterious show based
on the writings of Washington Irving including
all the characters we have come to know and
love (and fear)! After a foreboding fanfare, we
hear the opening theme of "Sleepy Hollow", the
secret. Next, we hear the love theme of "Ichabod
and Katrina", the two young lovers caught up in
the legend. This is followed by a sudden scream
of brass announcing the "Ride of the Headless
Horseman", a dark and up-tempo theme with
some exciting percussion. This is followed by a
reprise of the "Sleepy Hollow" theme and we
come to an exciting conclusion. If you are
looking for a different theme that can be played
by a small or young band, this show is it!

"Jolly Roger: A Pirate's Tale"--Grade
One-Two
Ahoy mateys! This be a swashbuckling tale of
pirates and adventures on the high seas! After a
bold fanfare, we hear the opening theme "Pieces of
Eight". This is followed by "A Pirate's Jig"
featuring the woodwinds on a lively dance theme.
"Walk the Plank" has the low brass playing a brief
variation on the main theme. "Buried Treasure" is
a dark ballad based on an old familiar melody.
"Broadsides!" is a battle at sea with driving
percussion and dissonant chords. Then we
"Escape to the Open Sea" with some bold brass
fanfares before the "Reprise and Finale" section
brings our tale to an exciting conclusion. This
show has lots of excitement packed into a very
playable package for young bands. Your students
and fans will love this show!

"Guardians of the Galaxy"--Grade Two-Three
This is a science fiction action/adventure show that
is flexible enough to allow you to develop your
own story line! The show opens softly with a
mysterious melody, but quickly erupts into a
"Guardians Theme!" "Quest for Peace" is a brief
woodwind interlude followed by "Seeds of
Rebellion" featuring the low brass on a dark theme.
"Into the Orion Nebulae" is a lush ballad with some
mysterious chord changes. The peace is suddenly
broken with "Attack on Primus 8", a dark and
driving battle scene! There is a brief "Peace
Reprise" followed by a glorious "Victory and
Finale" section! The show also offers an "Optional
Dark Ending" that will leave your audience
hanging! This show is pure excitement and
entertainment for both your students and your
fans!

"Lincoln Tribute"--Grade Two/Three
This is a different type of patriotic show
200th birthday. There are many traditional
American themes along with original music
that tells the story. After a brief fanfare based
on the "Battle Cry of Freedom", we hear
"Frontier Lawyer", a folksy and light theme
based on Lincoln's early career. The
contrasting low brass and upper voices in a
lively "debate". Next, we hear "A House
Divided" which represents the Civil War.
This is followed by a brief return to happier
times "With Malice Toward None", but this is
suddenly interrupted by "Assassination and
Mourning". The show concludes with
"Lincoln's Legacy" featuring a dramatic finale
on "Battle Hymn of the Republic". This show
includes an optional narration featuring some
of Lincoln's most famous speeches. Your fans
will love this patriotic tribute.

"Lost at Sea"--Grade One
Tis show will bring out the Robinson Crusoe
in your band. It is based on a combination of
tale of the Sea! "The Voyage Begins" with an
exciting opener. There is a soft contrasting
